I think its probably about right as
teachers
high grade nurse
retail; store managers earn that.
Nurses have been dealt with, and now I can reveal a standard teacher (i.e. 80% of them) earns 35K as top whack after reaching the top of their scale. London weighting only adds on 4K. Heads of department earn 35K+ but if they manage smnall depts (music, art, pe etc) they won't reach 42K. And they're on a pay freeze.

Yep.
Crap at predicting house prices, but good at that.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Ha Ha Ha ..... Pay Freeze .... what about the Annual Payrise up the Spine?
What you mean is that Teachers are only getting one payrise this year, instead of two!
Add to that the 6 months holiday and 26 hour weeks and it's a real bummer for just £36,000 isn't it?Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0
