I forgot to join in yesterday, and only just got back from parents house, so I will list what I've done this weekend (not much!)
I have avoided food shopping for over a week now due to general skintness, but I'm a bit fed up that I have now run out of fruit, so will have to go tomorrow or Tuesday.
Two loads of washing dried on radiators/in front of the woodburner when it was lit yesterday.
Been to visit parents today, had lunch there and went for a walk by the river with them.
Working on OU assignment, due in later in the week.
Evening meal from stores (waiting for OH to cook it as it's his turn!)0 -
Ooh, nobody's started the thread yet , so I thought I better had, to keep us all on our best behaviour

Today I will:
Washing on line to dry First lot out, second in machine
Ring a couple of insurance brokers to see if I can get a better deal on my car insurance renewal (it isn't bad, but might be able to get it cheaper
) I have given up on the price comparison web sites because of all the spam / junk phone calls I get every time I use one  Done, got the same cover, with the same company for £36 less
HM meals
Walk to the shops instead of using the car, saves petrol and free exercise
Not buy anything that isn't on the list - having to carry it or trundle in my trolley will help with this :rotfl:Done, only spent about £27 for the week, still shopping mainly from the freezer
Plant some bulbs that have been around for ages later Done
Examine my lovely cyclamen plant as it looks as though it is being eaten by something BIG :eek: Or better still get OH to do it  I got OH to do it - it was a great big caterpillar, and I am not good with those. Goodness knows where it came from. Hopefully it is the only one. I only noticed it yesterday due to holes in some of the leaves and a load of caterpillar poos on the dining table  It actually got off the plant when it wanted to go, which is clever really, and better than doing it in its dinner I suppose. I wish they didn't give me the creeps so!
Organise study as it is still chaotic after our move back in July
Clean chickens out Done
That will probably do me for today and most of tomorrow as well!
Update: All done except for the study which is as chaotic as ever
Must find some motivation from somewhere!
Not tonight though - I am taking it easy as I have to get a stupidly early train tomorrow morning, and am tired as I didn't sleep well last night for some reason.
Today:
HM food - just had cottage pie (yum)
Not drink any wine
Covered cabbage plants up with netting in my little raised bed veg garden as I think they are being nibbled by the neighbour's pigeons.
Moved some furniture round again - hopefully we will get it right eventually :rotfl:
Visited my friend who is soon moving to France
Washing on airer to dry. I now have quite a glamorous dining room, with a lovely polished table, cut glass candle stick and fruit bowl, antique chairs and dresser, a lovely (now) caterpillar free cyclamen plant in the window - and an airer hung with towels and knickers which rather lowers the tone :rotfl::rotfl:
Time to make some coffee now methinks, as the kettle is boiling on the woodstove
Glad the new job went well Pippi, good luck with your application DNMS, hi Erme
PS Thanks for the tip about Swiftcover Natlie - I should have thought of that, as I have used them before, and they were good. I already went with the other one though, which was very good. I will definitely try them again next time though!0 -
