Need a cheap hotel in London (Holborn)

Hi,

I'm going to London for a course on the 28th and am looking for a hotel that's fairly central (the course is near Holborn Tube Station I think).

I don't want to spend a lot as the company isn't paying so somewhere not to grotty but cheap would be nice. Can anyone advise me?

I've never been to London and I'm a bit worried about finding my way round but I don't mind not being on the doorstep if it will save me a few bob!

Hope someone can help a London virgin find a bargain!

Thanks a lot

Keep an eye on the travellodge at Holborn (Covent Garden ). £89 at the moment, but could drop nearer the date - if you take a chance. The lodges at Farringdon and Kings X have rooms for £49 and are a couple of miles away. Again, may come down if you wait. Prices are per room, not per person.

Try some of the London university halls, like South Bank. They may have spare rooms. When you are there, get a travelcard, or even better Oyster card.
