Shipping from UK to Japan ? which corrier to use?

I want to ship a parcel abroad (hifi, quite heavy).

If you have experience shipping there from the uk

a) What are the best corriers (parcel company) to use? (From uk to Japan)

b) How long will it take, min- max days as a range to get sent to the Japan address?

c) to work out a Shipping cost, considering the weight etc, is it enough just to give the corrier a Postcode of the Japan address? or full address is needed?

Basically which corrier would you advise to use ?

The courier gurus on here will be able to better advise you if you state dimensions, weight and value that you need insured.

    Width, Length, depth are:

14 inches by 14 inches by 12 inches

    Weight is approx 6 Kg
  • Price may be higher depending on value:
https://www.transglobal.org.uk £43.38 DHL Air Express, 2-3 days, only name of country needed to get quote, needs CMs (35*35*30 approx)
  • I second transglobal. Be sure to read and re-read the customs notices you have to stick on the outside of the parcel.

You don't give the value, so make sure it is adequately insured. some insurance is usually included in the standard delivery charge but you may need to pay extra if it is valuable. Also check the carrier's list of exclusions as insurance can be quite restrictive.
