Lion is great, especially if you have a Macbook. The multi-touch gestures, full screen and multiple desktops are very good and more usable. I get a particularly perverse pleasure out of swiping the windows away in Safari :)

  • Just a heads up. If you use SMB sharing it won't work in Lion without a great deal of faffing about. Also Apple have removed Rosetta so if you have any PPC programs that don't have an intel version (universal apps are OK) they will not work either. Other that that Lion is pretty good.

  • Then don't worry as you probably don't use it. Get Lion and enjoy the new gestures. It is a bit tricky to begin with but soon you will get used to them. I even bought a magic trackpad for my MacPro. I don't use a mouse anymore for any of my Macs.
  • Another thumbs up here for both Lion and the Magic Trackpad! I wouldn't go back to a mouse now.

I think it's always been £20, but for true MSEing get a couple of itunes vouchers with discount from this thread to get it cheaper and get a few mac/iOS apps with the excess.
