I reckon some people get "the feeling of the one" and some don't. I didn't, but I totally LOVE my dress! I think maybe you can build it up and if you're expecting the feeling it doesn't come, a bit like "a watched kettle...".

All the same I would wait a bit as you've got plenty of time.

I went in picked out one dress i seen that i thought was stunning, tried that dress and only that dress on and instantly knew it was the one for me,they say u know the one when u see it/try it
  • I was the same as you, tried on tonnes of dresses, started getting fed up...then i went to a new shop and the first one i tried on i bought....it was a surreal moment when i really just thought 'this is the one'. Funny thing is it was a size 18 and I'm a 10 but when they pulled it tight it was amazing. Take a break then try a few more x

  • I tried so many dresses and did not get any feeling. I was getting fed up as well cos whatever I showed OH, he said was fab from very fitted ones to big ball gowns!
So I took OH to a bridal shop and tried over 15 dresses. I noted the ones he liked and picked the one I thought suited me most out of the lot. Looked for it in a sale and found it too. I have a back up figure hugging (which is what I wanted!) white and gold evening dress which I will wear at the reception in the evening.
Still don't have the feeling and I love both my dresses! I almost bought a yellow dress as well so maybe I'm nuts anyway! :rotfl:

No but I did show him all the dresses/styles I was looking at on the internet before I went shopping. Before I went shopping I planned to show him which dress I ended up with. I don't see there being anything wrong with that. But when I found my dress and fell in love with it I decided he wasn't seeing it until I walk down the aisle. The photos on the internet really don't do the fabric any justice. Actually the only people who have seen it are our mums - my mum in real life, his mum on the internet.

amycm123 - keep looking, you will find one. I found it helped to go on my own, then I was only influenced by the shop assistants who don't know me therefore had no expectations. It was obvious when I found the right one - I felt a million dollars.

    Good luck with finding it.

I didn't get that feeling, but the one I did get was the one ended up going back and trying on about 3 or 4 times...good sign I thought. Think it's because it wasn't a style I thought I'd want
