So am covering a few points here so please just select what you can to comment on, thanks in advance.
1) Been sent info on the new Fidelity Multi asset strategic (accumulation). Comments please? Seems best for those with low-risk and wanting "assured2 returns but at my age (<30) that's not so much an issue and anyway...
2) Already have Fidelity Global Special Situations (this is the "new"one that doesn't involve a certain Mr.Boulton). Are these 2 funds really doing a similar thing (i.e. same locations etc)
3) Looking at my portfolio have interests in USA, Asia (inc Japan) and UK, so am thinking I need to move into Europe, been thinking either Jupiter Emerging European or Jupiter European Spec Sits. I know you can't comment on funds but how about general feelings on these sectors and...
4) Fidelity Global Spec Sits not doing so well at themo' (as I expected with the split etc) How long, generally, would you give a new manger to establish himself (this guy of course has a huge pair of shoes to fill) but it would be my luck to transfer out then he does an "Anthony B" and I will feel the need to throw large objects at my laptop.
PS. All funds dealing through HL so initial charges etc are not a major concern.
Thanks and hope I have explained it all OK enough?

The multi asset strategic aims to hold what it considers suitable for the current economic cycle, which appears to be mainly bonds at launch. I also believe it's going to mainly invest in other Fidelity funds (it is a fund of funds), depending on where the manager sees is best, based on the past performance (of sectors, investments) during the same cycle.
I don't think you can say they are both doing similar things. The latter is only equity based I believe, looking for the right equities based on the investment strategy. The first has 5 areas of investment it can choose to use, in any amount, based on the current economic position.
I can't find much out about the new fidelity fund, I too received the stuff in the post, but the website doesn't contain much information, I found what I did from citywire news. There isn't much history of fund management for the manager either.
It sounds like Europe would be a good move.0 -
