Have you tried the "false lashes" version? I have the version in the purple fat tube, found the brush a bit too wide but you can get used to it. I have tried the other coloured tubes but didn't like them so much, the purple tube does seem to be slightly different.

Also, don't forget to blot the top of the brush and if you find your getting an uneven coat, lightly roll the brush over a flat tissue to remove any uneven blobs of the formula before applying. Brush once to apply the mascara, brush again root to tip to even out the coat.

jenniewb, if we wipe our brushes on a tissue aren't we wasting most of the mascara? why can't we just clean up the brush on the tube end, and push the 'removed' mascara back into the tube when we replace the brush? apologies if you've already explained this :o

    Estee Lauder sample mascaras.

Buy something you want like a lipstick et al and ask them for a freebie mascara. You are supposed to discard them after 3 months anyway. Costs you nothing.

  • If you have long lashes DO NOT use Rimmel Volume Mascara - it takes ages to dry and before you know it you have looked down and got blobs on your cheeks - also it gets wet very easily when your working out and goes horribly wrong :-D

also if you keep your makeup (foundation, mascara, nail varnish, lippy) in the fridge it lasts much longer :-)
  • I tried the Collection 2000 Sky Scraper recently- really good- makes lashes look very long super quick!
  • I love the L'Oreal Waterproof Mascara.
