Really warm woman's coat

I don't know how much you are planning to spend, but for real warmth you could get a North Face ski-type jacket/coat. They aren't cheap by any standard but you can often get discount codes to get the costs down, they last for ages and will never go out of fashion.
For some ideas of price, check out: http://www.millets.co.uk/view/brand/The_North_Face.html0 -
I bought a seriously warm 1/2 - 3/4 length coat from Sainbury's Tu collection a couple of weeks ago. It was suede effect, with a fake fur lining, collar and cuffs, with buttons. It came in 2 colours - a v dark brown / black, and a grey/brown colour. I'd bought something similar back in 2004 in a mid-brown shade for just £20 (reduced from £40) and worn it to death so needed something that looked a little more presentable.
The coat was £60 - but on a 1/2 price offer, with a further 25% off. It cost me the grand sum of £25 in total and is so seriously warm it passed the ultimate test - kept me comfortably snug sitting in my sisters house (she refuses to switch on the heating).
Pity I can't find an image for it online.

I found Sainsburys coats a really bad quality.. bought a nice one a couple of years ago that only lasted 1 winter! Personally the warmest I've found is duck feather.0

Land's End have a good sale on right now, with 25% off (code posted on MSE). They rate the warmth each of their coats and jackets, and they are incredibly good quality.

£52.5
TEMPERATURE RATING: WARMEST: Designed to take on the worst of the winter weather
(and don't forget cashback from top cashback)
They are not the cheapest to buy in the first place, but in the long run they save me money because they will last longer, and keep me warmer than cheaper jackets, IMHO.

Welcome to MSE
The OP (opening poster/post) is asking specifically about warm, coats.
You may want to start your own thread if you have a different question, I'm sure people would he happy to give you advice. And you'd need to be more specific, like size/style as there are 1000's of stores selling coats out there.0 -
