MP3 Player to record music

I am looking for an MP3 or MP4 player that can record at a reasonable quality. It will be for taking to a choir so that I can turn it on to record our performance and then play it back later.

I would also like it to have a reasonable size screen as well.

Not interested in anything as up market as an IPOD touch, just something at a reasonable price that does the job.

2 Do you need a battery-operated device, or do you have mains power available?

3 How much are you able or willing to spend?
