Yup, I'm planning to use Bestinvest to hold nine different Vanguard funds, and a few other bits too. I started with the Lifestrategy 80% and then added a bias towards Pacific, EM, Small Cap, and FTSE 250. I've also reduced bonds and moved this towards infrastructure.
Or at least I will if BI activate the SIPP! Imagine how I've felt as I've watched the markets this week. I hope Friday is a flop and the markets crash again.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Smarter Investing doesn't perhaps have as much detail as you'd like, but it's a good starting point.
The Vanguard document on why they did what they did with LifeStrategy is also worth a read.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

BTW, the Vanguard funds with >=80% equities actually hold a slightly different global mix of equities.
Yes, I see your point. Had a feeling it wouldn't be quite a simple as that - I'll re-read the lifestlying post.0 -
Has anyone else noticed that the much-trumpeted HL SWIP FTSE All Share Tracker has already increased its TER from 0.11% (announced on Monday) to 0.14% (today) before it has even launched?Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0

Its still showing at 0.11% on the HL site?

Well, you're absolutely correct but I swear it was showing 0.14% at 10pm last night - I checked twice, on 2 different lists! And, no, I hadn't had a few nightcaps! I'm baffled. Could it be that HL decided that the extra bit of TER wasn't worth the bad PR following on from last month's bad feeling? I shall ask HL what was going on.Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0

I can confirm that it did say 0.14% last night. At least it did on the fund page: http://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/s/swip-ftse-all-share-index-swip-foundation-growth-accumulation
or that the planned increase (once everybody switched before the cut-off date) was displayed in error ? <cynicism>0 -
Thanks, Koru - I thought I was going mad!!Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0

Just had a 2 or 3 page letter from HL in response to my email to them (in which I said they'd breached my trust cos of how they'd done things and the level at which they set their fees etc.); they've said they will waive fees til February, as they've said to some others.
Not had a chance to read the letter fully yet. They said they took my email as a "formal complaint" cos of FSA rules or something. If there's anything interesting to report I'll let you know.0
