We bought the £529 one, its the one she really liked. (she did look at everything else in John Lewis and Currys just to see what else there was).
Thanks for your advice.0 -

Thanks for your advice.
The DV6 are nice laptops, very nice looking and feel atheistically. I suppose the pretty pattern swayed her decision.:)
I just purchased one for someone and they got the one with beats audio. Was around £550
The beats audio, although slightly better than normal laptop speakers are nothing to shout about and still sound tinny to me but the laptop was very nice.0 -
Thanks, thats good to know. She speakers on her HP whichi is 4 years old have been fine. I`m sure the ones on this new one will have been updated in the last 4 years.
I do thinks girls go for the `nice looking ones` rather than the best RAM or processor!! but thats a girly thing. Everything on the new one is faster and better than the existing so I`m sure it will look nice and also do the job very well.
.... just wondering can anyone tell us is there an easys way to get all the info from the old laptop to the new one (photo`s, music, word stuff)?

Thats great, thank you. We thought it might involve USB`s and cd`s.0

For the music, daughter might like to try Virtual DJ.
It's free, and should do a similar job to Beats Audio.
