I really am getting thoroughly cheesed off with computers and that. Now my 'Pages from the UK' button on the left has disappeared. Does anyone know why? I use Firefox as a browser and Google to search with. Cheers.

If you mean the google button 'pages from the uk' then mine is still there when I search Google using chrome. I don't think firefox would remove this from the page. I have tried a few different searches, including searches on google.co.uk instead of .com and searching a phrase with UK or a UK location in it. all of these still give me the 'pages from the UK' option. I am unable to think of any more variables that might affect this. Maybe a firefox users can help more. Do you have a gmail account?0

Yes I do use G mail-perhaps I should switch to Chrome?0

Maybe chrome will help. I only asked about gmail because google does use your gmail info when searching if your signed up to it. Are all your results from the UK already? or are you getting worldwide results without a option to refine to UK? perhaps its preset to uk or something. Id suggest suing chrome over firefox anyway. its much better in my eyes. Although why a browser would change something like that is beyond me. sorry im not more help.0

What happened to you last night?
Does the pressing and holding on the Fn key and then pressing F1 now toggle Wireless on and off? I could not test it myself from this end.0 -

This is probably because you are searching from Google.com to get UK stuff you need to search from Google.co.uk
In Firefox I have my home page set to Google.co.uk
Enter google.co.uk into the address bar at the top then when you are on google.co.uk click on tools>options>general>use current
Hope this helps

Sorry that I couldn't respond yesterday-something came up.
Dave C, Harry L and TakeThis-I think that I have the US version installed-I shall change it now.
TakeThis-re wireless not working- I tried pm-ing you but you're full! Tried it all again yesterday morning-not working, called TT-they tried but couldn't help. They suggested sending an engineer-that will cost, so I shall stay hooked up, but I really appreciate your time, help and patience.0 -

You can then put any search engine you want in the search bar (including Google.co.uk)0 -
