PC Headset help

Hopefully this is the right board for my question, if not mods, feel free to move it.:D

Anyway, I'm after a PC headset for OH for xmas but don't really know a lot about these things and don't know where to start so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm sure he saw on in Game, ages ago now that worked for PC, Xbox and Playstation, cost roughly around £80, I think. Something like that would be great but otherwise just one for PC would be good.

Can anybody advise a good headset, needs have the microphone bit on it aswell, preferably around £80ish (or cheaper!:money:)

Or has anyone got some tips of what to look for/avoid in a headset.

you need to buy headset with a 3.5mm jack that will work on all your consoles and computer.

Am not overly concerned if it works with consoles, he mainly uses the PC for gaming now.

Anyone got reccomendations for a good gaming headset?

I have Turtle Beach PX21 i use these for consoles but they can be used on PC and Mac , had them about 12 months never had a problem with them.

Do you want stereo or 5.1?

Personally I have this stereo headset which are great, but will upgrade to a 5.1 (well 7.1) headset such as these

I have the same headset as spank and would echo what he has said about them. had mine 2 1/2 years and they still work perefctly. i use mine on PC , PS3 and X BOX and works fine on all.
