Suspitious job offer

Would that be a circular argument if I suggested they might well have a disability, such as Dyslexia? What's your excuse for asking for an excuse? What's your excuse for misspelling 'disability'?
That's hardly the topic of this thread, however. My gut feeling is the "job" is a scam and best avoided.Wanted a job, now have one. :beer:0 -

I have had a call offering me a job from the gardian ( I did apply for it).
I received a call yesterday from a man telling me about the job and what it involves.
All sounded brill, except the company, EXPOGLOBAL, is based in cyprus. I have looked at there website and it looks ok. But i had an email offering me the job but they needed full address, home number and passport number, before he writes and sends my contract.
Is this right?
Thanks
Dee
Hello Dee
(glad to see some people have tried to answer your question, not just mock you).
I think it's extremely unlikely someone would offer you a job without an interview/meeting.
If they are planning to open an office in the UK they may want to have candidates lined up and hopefully someone ready to start when they open, but they would still want to meet them before they gave a firm offer.
I don't know if there are special circumstances, or very specialised jobs, where this would not apply, though....0 -
I just checked it out, it is for a proof reader for the Guardian. OP should do fine.0

You started a thread mocking people who 'mis-use' their fog lights. What's to say some of these people don't have disabilities or other issues? Depression or stress can cause issues with memory and concentration.
What's your excuse for misspelling 'disability'?
1 And just how do you determine that drivers who are technically breaking the law are being mocked when it is pointed out?
I guess when a cop books these idiots he is not doing his job but mocking them?
What a rather bizarre outburst.
2 And if a driver is suffering from a condition that affects the controls of the vehicle they should not be driving in any case.
3 I have no excuse for misspelling disability. I wasn't aware one needs to provide excuses for this type of misdemeanour, or is it just you being a pedant?0 -
