Google chrome new user

Hi everyone, just downloaded chrome and having a little play to see if I like it. I went into the default programs from windows vista control panel and when I clicked on 'set your default programs', google chrome is not appearing on my list of programs. I can see firefox and IE but not chrome. I don't see why chrome is not appearing when other browsers are listed. I'd appreciate if someone can explain why. Also, in FF you can set the default programs in the 'application' option; is there something similar in google as I can't see it myself.

If you click the spanner in the top right below the [x]. And then click 'options' near the bottom.

Then on the page that comes up scroll too the bottom and it should say:

Default Browser: [Make Chrome your default browser]

simple click the button to set chrome as your default browser.

This is how it works in my version of chrome. If this isnt the case in your version let me know and I can attempt to find out if its different in newer versions.

Hi, you can set chrome as your default brower from the browser. Open up chrome, click the spanner icon in the top right, then choose options, then on the basics tab you can set chrome as your default browser from there
