Halifax Clarity Card - How Long?

Options
I was accepted online for a Halifax Clarity card on Monday. Could anyone tell me what happens next please?

Do they send me some documents to sign and return before they issue the card, and if so does anyone have an idea of the time scale involved.

I am going to Europe in three weeks and had hoped I might be able to use it then.

Thank a lot.

From application to actually getting the card, is about 3 weeks, so youre cutting it fine! They will send out a credit agreement, which you sign and send back, and then it takes them about a week to actually set the account up, and then another 7-10 days to get your card and pin, so theyre not the quickest bunch
Debt free and staying that way!

Thanks Jen. I've not received the credit agreement yet. Only three clear days I guess.

    I'll curb my enthusiasm.

Yes I think mine took about 3 weeks from start to finish. Really slow compared to the AA which took exactly a week from application to receiving the cards.
  • Same here - about 3 weeks from application (in branch) through to receiving my card and PIN.

Can you charge from a One card to a Clarity card? Or do you need to close, wait and re apply?
If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...

take the application form signed into branch once recieved, it will make it quicker for you.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Remember to call them up and complete a "Holiday form" once you receive the card so that they know it will be used abroad and it shouldn't be blocked.
