Hi all,
I was just wondering if I started picking my sprouts now when they are teeny weeny would they still be edible? I imagine they would actually be tastier tiny but I need reassurance.
Thought I could freeze them for xmas and if they are presented as a 'gourmet' veg then they might get eaten by certain sprout dodgers!
Thanks.

yes you can eat them when they are small - you just need more of them for a portion and they are a bit more fiddly to prepare - but will taste lovely
for the none sprout lovers - have you tried taking the sprout apart (so in individual leaflets) then cooking them for just a min in boiling water or stir frying them - as they are lovely and not so sprout likesaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk
made loads last year :beer:0 -
Ooh, thank you, I never would have thought of taking them apart. I think I will be stir-frying some now!
