CL.EXE message

I bought our sons a computer for Christmas which is not yet connected to the internet,
every time they go on a message appears:

CL.EXE

common language runtime debugging services

application has generated an exception that could not be handled

process id =0x568 (1464)
thread id = 0x558 (1368)

click okay to terminate the application
click cancel to debug the application
tried both ways but still appears on start up, is there a way to stop it?
thanks

    thanks

    Yes, its called Linux
  • Click start->run and then type Msconfig, list what you have there in "startup" then we'll see if it's an app thats causing it. If it's never been connected to the web then it's likely to be a faulty application. If it has been connected to the web then it could be the trojan "lampspy".
