I am moving next week so need to send in a new SOA. I would appreciate any feedback on what I had submitted on my old one compared to the new one as obviously fuel etc have increased but I don't want the OR to think I am taking the proverbial!!

Big rise in rent, what did the OR allow you in rental?
No gas , electric, water rates, land line and council tax ?
Judging by your income and what you were paying how are you going to pay for these?0 -
Kepar, it's a rise in rent but it looks as though this now includes utilities.
OP, have you moved in with a partner? If the OR questions this, you can download a tenancy agreement for free, or the OR might just ask for your partner to send them a letter confirming what you pay, that's what mine did.
Have you changed your address with your car insurance company? You might get hit with a fee for changing, so I'd add this onto your SOA. It's not about what you can get away with, but what is a reasonable amount that you pay out for things.Feb 2024:

CC2 7804.45
CC3 4221.17
CC4 2053.68
CC5 989.30
Loan 1 3686.44
Loan 2 5275.22
Total £30,567.920 -
I have moved into a property with a friend I have a tenancy agreement and the rent includes all household bills as of which I am paying 50% of as he works away and is only at the property at weekends. I have changed address with the car ins co and was lucky not to incur a charge as it was so close to my renewal date.Today is the first day of the rest of my life

Those figures do not look like 50% of bills to me, certainly TV Licence is £12.37 per month for me, I pay around £70 pcm for gas and electric combined, etc. etc.
You will not be allowed anything for presents or entertainment and should round up or down to the nearest pound.
Personally, I think you would be better off paying rent including bills as that's the 'norm' for a lodger renting a room and sharing kitchen/bathroom/living room in a house. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

If you look at her first SoA the OR has been very, very kind and allowed those. Not sure how he would take you trying to up them but nothing ventured lol

Sorry INAN, please can you claify for me. The OP will be paying rent with bills included. Did you mean that or rent and bills seperatly as they come in? Thanks sweetie.
Duchess not sure how he will take you uping presents and entertainment (most people don't get them.) and holiday as £40 is usually about right for a single. You could if you need put clothes at £40 and medical at £20BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Doh! Read the first SOA as the new one and the second as the old one, whoopsie, not having a good day am I.
OP says first SOA is as 'submitted' but doesn't confirm if the OR agreed the presents/entertainment or altered it, also I don't remember if an IPA was set up or not and the OP doesn't confirm it in this thread. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Hi thanks for all your replies to confirm some of the confusion........
The rent that I will be paying all bills are included and not going to be paying anything on top. The OR hasn't questioned the original SOA and an IPA was set up.
Was thinking of just putting the new SOA in and see what happens, if the OR doesn't agree to any of the amounts that I have put down, will they contact me or just amend it to what they think is reasonable and set up a new IPA. Thanks ever so xxxToday is the first day of the rest of my life
