Tax credits

We are due our first baby in April 2012, my husband earns £33753 a year he pays out £3712.32 yearly for his pension and I earn £15000 a year, I will be on maternity for a year. At the moment I think we would get just over £10 a week tax credits, I understand more changes are coming to tax credits from April 2012 does anyone know if this means we will no longer be intitled to tax credits.

Well i earn 15000 a year and wife earns 12000 a year and we are not entitled to working tax credits but get a minimal child tax credits payment on 23 per month
CashBack earned to date - £1244-58
  • sorry should have put child tax credit, I knew we wouldn't get any working tax
  • You may get a small amount but not a great deal to be honest but something is better than nothing

No you won't get any tax credits from April (assuming no disabilites etc).
  • I get LRC DLA, I know it's a while off yet but I like to budget

It's possible you might get a very small amount then, but it will be small. Probably not worth considering in your budgeting, and it'd end when your SMP ends anyway.
  • Thank you, I will just leave it off then rather than count on anything
