Claim going through - Changing provider

Hey Guys,
My OH has a claim going through (no fault, someone drove into the rear of his van and drove of, we have the reg and a witness)
His insurance is up 24th Nov, can he look for alternative insurance while a claim is ongoing ?

Thanks :j

    Yes.

But until your insurer gets full reimbursement of the cost of the claim they will count it as a "fault" claim, and reduce his NCD (unless he has it protected)

If this is the case, then he needs to get his chosen new company to agree to amend his premium once his NCD is reinstated and refund the difference in premium back to the start date of his policy with them.
