Hi, ive just spotted this (still £46.99, and available at my local store) but was wondering, will it work with batteries, as my car cigarette lighter doesnt work - so the adaptor wont be much use at the mo (do need to sort out getting the lighter fixed tho, but have never needed it before!!!)

Doesn't work with batteries. It's specifically made for in car use with the charger that comes with it......

Hiya it can't be used with batteries as the above says, however you could consider buying something like this -

We actually use one in our car to power ours which leaves the cigarette lighter free for our sat-nav.
(You may find that depending on the problem with your cigarette lighter that getting one of these could work out cheaper than getting it fixed)

I should have made that a bit clearer!!
I meant that we use one of the jump-starters for the 12v power supply which you can stick the cigarette lighter cable into!
