I wondered how long it'd be before the muppets started bringing this into things...

beebeecakes, if it is any consolation the decision is usually made to let you go even before the meeting has taken place and the meeting is usually nothing more than them paying lip service to employment law. Unless something absolutely earth shattering is brought to the table, you can 99% of the time expect to be given your cards.

Don't get too hung up on it, treat it as a life experience and move on otherwise it'll hold you back for ages.

Maybe there is something you can do.

How long have you been employed?

    What type of job?

    What are the issues?

Are you saying that you are "not guilty" of whatever it is they say you have done or that dismissal is too harsh a penalty?

With more information we MIGHT be able to help.
  • How long have you worked there and what actually happened?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Well my local Tesco got rid of lots of employees, for only a month later to be seeking Work Fare recruits via the local Job Centre. So it does obviously go on.
Wanted a job, now have one.

can I Hijack this thread, as the d/w also suffered the same fate today

absolutely gutted, the reason she was sacked she wasn't reaching the set target of 100 per day, however (even though the decision is made) she was on the verge of hitting the target is the last week, 1 day she got 99, another she got 91

anyway, as she was only employed for seven weeks, I assume there's sweet f.a. she can do, she was told she can appeal, however don't think there's much chance

my query is will she be able to claim JSA, earlier this year she claimed for 6 months, and then was not allowed to claim 9as I work full time), the fact that she has worked for 7 weeks (full time) can she claim JSA ???

You will get a lot more help and guidance if you start a thread of your own. Sorry
