Makes me think that it is a dns problem as the dns cache is controlled by Windows and not your browser

flushing the dns cache should solve the problem

According to Microsoft this problem occurs when DNS Client service is not running on the computer.

to resolve this problem, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. In the list of services, click DNS Client.
3. Make sure that the Status column displays Started and that the Startup Type column displays Automatic.
4. If the service is not set to Started or if the startup type for the DNS Client service is not set to Automatic, follow these steps:
   1. Right-click DNS Client, and then click Properties.
   2. In the DNS Client Properties dialog box, click the General tab, and then click Automatic in the Startup type list.
   3. Click Start, click Apply, and then click OK.

then do the

Start->Run->type cmd

or Start->search->type cmd when you have found the file right click on the file and select "run as administrator" then try the following again

Then in the command prompt, type:

ipconfig /flushdns

glad I'm not comping in earnest this year, the number of comps is unbelievable but if everyone can persevere and not get too stressed out by the excessive number of comps there should be a bumper crop of prizes in IWIWIW in the New Year

god only knows how fnc63 is coping with the Advent thread this year as there seems to be more Advents this year than I can ever remember and the last time I looked they where still growing day by day :eek:

Lovely to see rebull and Amilucky in the Inn. Hope all is well with you.

I've had a heavy cold for the past 5 or 6 days so not done any comping to speak of. I was overwhelmed with the advents anyway so think I will take a semi comping break until the New Year and just do one or two here and there.

So far behind with Christmas present buying etc must get myself organised.

Although I have not done much comping I have tried to keep up witn the news in the Inn.

i could never keep up with comping either,
ts all too much i love the winning
but its too time consuming
i panic when i see the amount of advents
i only do a few of my own in FB & like my Next catalogue ones

i will try that amilucky but dont know why its JUST facebook?
