My method is now open the Advents thread, work my way down through the ones I'd like for sure, do the non-advents on the board, then do anything that looks interesting on FB posted by others :p

Anyone from in and around Edinburgh?
I'm going on my first trip to Edinburgh tomorrow, for one night only, and was wondering if any locals could recommend any good restaurants?
We'd prefer to eat local food so keen to hear any recommendations :)

    Thanks in advance

It's quiet in here....I guess everyone must be on an adventure! (get it? :p)

Jane good luck with getting your laptop sorted. Hate being without pc.

Hope you're feeling right as rain tomorrow Becks. I know what you mean about how busy it is this time of year. We had 2 cars today while out that cut in front of us all of a sudden, just to get to the retail park!!

Liz, have a fab time in Edingburgh...never been there myself, not sure who is from there. Maybe sheils may be able to help you out. :)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

    Hi everyone,

I'm back! Had a great time, collected my Merlin Passes at Trafford centre and met SIL. The Trafford Centre was busier than anything we had ever seen before though and driving in and out of it was murder. We left at 7pm as it looked too busy earlier and it took us half an hour to get out of sight of it! Blackpool was great though, we went to Madame Tussauds and it was wonderful I would recomend it to anyone, Blackpool Tower is better now too. DS & DH went to Blackpool Dungeons and they said it was the scariest they have been to - DD and I went shopping. We also had a flying visit of Sea Life Centre. (Merlin Passes are going to be well used!) Spent a fortune in shops though but got bargains.
Trying to get some comps done now!
Don't know much about eating out in Edinburgh I'm afraid - usually go to McDonalds! There is a lovely Mexican by the waterfront in Leith that we have used but can't remember its name. I think Zoold is from Edinburgh.
    Like the adventure idea Wingo!
