Not been a good few days lately, and bad morning too. :(

A bit annoyed, tried ordering some tea yesterday at teapigs.com while they still had free delivery, but my card was declined repeatedly and I have no idea why. Not good at financial stuff but I think it was something to do with the stupid "Halifax secure" thing that comes up on some sites because I was able to use it elsewhere afterwards. I have no idea what it means or if anything needs doing/asking/etc.

Hope everyone has a good day :D

Have you checked your bank balance? Best thing to do is ring your bank and ask them just be on the safe side.

My OH tried to do our Lottery online yesterday. The Bank rang him to see whether it was us trying to spend money on a gambling site! It's good to know they're looking out for us, but we've been doing it that way for years so they're a tad late.

I wonder if they did ring? I'm not in the UK atm (I live in two places, lol). Unless someone got to my account I should be fine balance wise, though. Would they call about a denied transation do you think, or is it an automatic thing? Never had it happen before so I'm pretty clueless!

It's possible. I was a bit worried my OH might have been the victim of a con but he said they didn't ask for any personal details about our account, they just asked if it was him who had tried to spend £30 on the 'Gambling' site.

I don't know whether laugh or cry. Courier has just been. Delivered a parcel (not one i am missing) however then says "ive got two for you at home" hmmmm ones I have just had a massive rant about to the company I ordered from i wonder. Surely it shouldnt be standard practice for a couroer to take a parcel home? All i can say is they better arrive in good condition!!

That is worrying Stokie. It's not very secure and what if the courier's house was burgled or something? Hope you get it all sorted. It's a nightmare with some of these courier companies. In most cases I'd prefer for things to be just sent out Royal Mail recorded or special delivery.

Congrats on the retirement Sue. You'll be able to comp full time now! :j:j:j I'm jealous :o

Well, oven is fixed so OH will be a happy bunny when he gets home  Wispa Cat is fast asleep on my knee so I'm going to get on with a few comps...
2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher
  • Afternoon all,

Sorry I have been AWOL for some time :o and haven't had time to catch up with everyones news, (((BIG HUGS))) to all who need them.

I have been off my feet for a few days on doctors orders after having a small proceedure on my ankle and DD has been looked after by my in laws while I recooperate. Feel better now, although I have soooo much housework to do I have managed to be up together with all the comps ready for the advents to start tomorrow. :j

Had a quiet couple of weeks win wise, but have been extremely lucky the last few days - with a massive win of the 3 fisher price toys (one will be given to nephew for christmas present and another put away for DD for christmas also). The other toy, DD is playing with now (The Fisher price stand and play rampway) and she LOVES it so much!

Also won tickets to Taste of Christmas show this weekend, and I am hoping that I will be well enough to go *fingers crossed*

    :)
