    In Retford today:

Lots of Thomas bowls, cups etc.

A selection of magic tricks, including:

All Lagoon Magic, all at £1.99

A litre of Carapelli olive oil £2.99

    Wooden puzzles, 99p, RRP £4.99

Can anyone recommend the best HB in or near Liverpool? I'll be there with a car, and would like to park near the store as I'm currently struggling to carry much. I'll be staying in Knowsley. Thanks.

I am sure I have read that there is a big store just off East Lancs Road but never been there. I do however use the one in Prenton, Wirral where they have a shared car park with Aldi.

i found out today there's a new Home Bargains in Liverpool. Behind TJ's
where the Taylors Superstore used to be. I've not been but my mate reckons its absolutely huge and full of goodies. I've been in Taylors a few times over the years and it was a big place so i'm looking forward to going there at the weekend.

Also, she was saying nearby there's a good shop selling ex M&S stuff ie, towels, shoes etc. Not forgetting good ole TJ's one of the best shops going.

Thought this may help you wendy m. I have not been myself, but plan a trip within the next few weeks. Not sure on parking, but am fairly sure there will be some as a few minutes out of Liverpool City Centre. Cant remember the name of the road its on though but perhaps the OP above may shed more light if you PM them.

On a buying note - bought 6 x mini oval casserole dishes for 49p each today - PERFECT size for making and freezing shephards pie and fish pies for my 2 year old.

it's just inside the liverpool boundary after you go past Kirkby. I think it's called the Axiom business park (gillmoss) just after M57 on right hand side. just zoom in/out on map below
