I saw a Man UTD picture book/annual type thing. Didn't pay much attention, Leeds, Leeds, Leeds... :rotfl:

Right, didn't realise it was just one team, thought it was a general football thing.

    Thanks.

OK, the book that I saw yesterday wasn't a book as such and it wasn't Man Utd.

To be honest I am not totally sure what it is, I have given it to my husband to have a look at but you will find all of the gen at the makers site and the other two below.

Sorry I couldn't say more about it but I wanted to post the find in case anyone is off out shopping this afternoon.

    :)

I bought one today as they were only 99p with a rrp of £17.99.

This is the site to the actual game http://www.projectwxi.com/theproject.asp

They are £17.99 at Waterstones http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/displayProductDetails.do?sku=5816872

Amazon have them reduced to £11.69

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but my local had model Corgi Batmobiles styled like the 1960's ones, quite large, for £3.99 - the kind they used to sell in Asda for around £6.

Coulby Newham had various good quality looking games - suitable for party presents, etc:

    Tumbling Sticks = £1.99
    Bottle Neck = £1.99

They had a couple more, similar types, but I only had a basket and it was filling up!

I also bought 2 of the metal detectors which seem to be a long term favourite in this shop = £5.99 each.

Oooh, and they had some good quality adult t-shirts, assorted types - long sleeve, short sleeve, the type with buttons, etc - yellow, white, black and navy for 99p each - excellent bargain! (please don't all rush out at once to get these, I'm planning on going back this evening to buy more!)

By the way. Watch out for their carrier bags. They have reduced the quality to similar to those you get in a fish n chip shop now and need doubling up to ensure they hold. I was told by the checkout lady that once those are gone, they are going to start charging for carriers :(

I noticed the change in carrier bags too last time I was in. Look out for their "bags for life" though, really strong and spacious, under 50p each if I remember right.

  • Not sure if this has been posted or not, but they had picnic backpacks in Bridgend today. Really lovely quality, called "Mayfair", cost £9.99 (RRP £39.99). Link to same one: http://www.silver-reed-2000.com/mayfair_frame.htm
