Q on behalf of sister ..1st tc payment info pls

My sis applied for tc 2 weeks ago and was told to expect to wait 3 weeks for processing from the date they got the form.

Anyway she called to give accurate end of last year figures (had to estimate on the form) and was told the claim wasnt on the system to cb in a week. So she called back early this week and was told the claim was on the system and so tc advisor could amend the figures. She was told a new awards note would be sent out to repalce the one they sent on Tuesday (shes not got the one sent Tuesday yet)

Anyhow, shes just been relaying the story to me and realised she doesnt actually know what this means does it mean she is no longer expected to wait 3 weeks from application for payment as an awards note was sent out earlier thsi week? or should she still only expect payment 3 weeks from the day the TC office got the form (she asked to be paid weekly if that matters at all?)

ALSO, when would the claim start from? The day she callled to request the forms, the date she signed the forms or the date they started to process her claim?

I cant help her as i dont claim TC so its all new to me and a quick google didnt answer the question for her

Can anyone advise her? Thanks

Usually whenever an award notice is generated, it arrives days after a payment has already been made into the claimant's account. There's usually two payments, an initial one in a random amount, and then your first weekly payment. Tell her to check her online banking - I know I always used to know what our payment was BEFORE the notices came, as the payment came days beforehand. Not sure if it is still like this, but get her to check.
