Abbyy FineReader - How to stop scanning without cancelling automated task

Hello.

I do hope someone might be able to help with this.

I use Abbyy FineReader 8 Professional a LOT to scan books so that I can then read them in electronic format, which is the only way I can read them. To save time, I've grouped together all the stages of the scanning, OCR and save operations into one task via the Automation Manager as follows:

+ Scan Images
+ Analyse Layout
+ Check Spelling
+ Save Text
+ Save Text to a different format
+ Save Images
+ Save Batch

The thing is, whilst scanning I have the progress window open which shows how many pages have been scanned, but I don't know how to stop the scanning other than clicking the cancel button, which invariably cancels the entire task. I then have to initiate the Analysis, then save, etc stages myself.

Is there another button to end the scanning phase that I'm just not seeing or is this a bug with the software?

Thanks - please if anyone uses Abbyy and sees this I'd appreciate your help.
