JCP are no longer allowed to pay for CRB checks after a change in government policy about 9 months ago. I have dealt with employers that originally wanted CRB but in the end, because of this new ruling, accepted JCP sifting people with relevant criminal convictions. Not a perfect system but the employer's insurers accepted it for the realtively short time the candidates were there.0 -
I am quite prepared to go on the work placement, i too have been applying like mad and getting the odd interview but as yet no one has set me on. I will ask about employers insurance's as i am not an employee and if i was to have an accident would i be covered for any claim i am likely to make? Simple questions that the providers need to answer.0

Why do you all assume you get work placements on the WP? I haven't even been told about them, let alone offered one.0
