Barclaycard Direct Debit

Ok, I've cleared my Barclaycard, BT to virgin and paid final interest payment. I deleted the direct debit, both through my bank and through the website as my intentions are to close this account. However, today the direct debit has reappeared on my bank....
Any ideas? Barclaycard or Bank of Scotland at fault?
