Hi folks,
my head hurts:eek: after looking at too many help menus. I've made myself a spreadsheet in Excel (mac version but I think its all the same), know the formula's I want to use which work correctly in the 1st row but for the life of me I can't get one thing right. The formula's I put in the cells in the 1st row under my titles I want to stay active in the rows below as the spreadsheet grows but I don't know how to make this happen without predesignating the amount of rows I want to use and attaching all the formula to those rows, I'm sure its possible,.... with your help that is.
I would be very grateful for a plain english push in the right direction. Thanks

If I understand what you are saying correctly, you simply have to click on the bottom right hand corner of the cell and drag it down to copy the formula. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Thanks that works, simple. But not as simple (or annoyed) as me as I knew how to do this but lost my way , I have 3 or 4 formula to use on each row so I'll just drag the cell down on each one , unless you know a simpler way.espresso wrote:If I understand what you are saying correctly, you simply have to click on the bottom right hand corner of the cell and drag it down to copy the formula.
Many thanks for the push.0 -

You don't have to do each cell individually. You can highlight all the cells in the row containing your formula's and then do the same to drag and copy the formula's down. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
that works a treat too, thanks for your helpespresso wrote:You don't have to do each cell individually. You can highlight all the cells in the row containing your formula's and then do the same to drag and copy the formula's down.0 -
If you already have a column of filled data, you don't even need to drad down. A double click at the same place you select to drag down will fill down to the bottom of your data.
Not sure if that applies to your situation though, but is most handy if you have lots and lots of data.0
