thanks to everyone for your advice.still cant tell oh but am trying to be positive and keep thinking about what worse could happen and doesnt look as bad.been in touch with cccs and waiting for drp to start.only have £69 to throw at £21440(thats before they all realise and put some more interest on!!!!)so it will only take me around 26 years to pay off but im going to pay it off and hopefully the amount i can pay will increase later on.i think the main thing is i am able to afford the £69 whatever happens with me and oh.i guess that when the letters and phone calls start, then i will have alot of explaining to do, but he will either divorce me(so i will have half of equity to send them) or stick by me(after getting very angry!!!!!)but its better than the torment i have been going through lately.(a woman on the edge isnt the half of it as some of you know!)my mum says i can move in with her if worse comes to worse so at least i will not be homeless, although a 44 year woman with her 68 year old mother dont paint too rosy a picture, i suppose.its my 25th wedding anniversary in december this year so i will keep you all informed as to the kind of pressies we get.might be congrats on your silver wedding or congrats on your divorce!with what i have been going through lately i will be glad to see december and be able to talk about it.
none of the companies know yet about the dmp as i am not in arrears but i will have to send notes with token payments soon but just now i am enjoying the calm before the storm.at least when its sorted the interest should stop and i will be able to start paying the debt off.the thing worring me is that i was still spending on the cards a few days before i contacted cccs and that wont show up on the staements till after they realise i have started the plan.suppose thats another few ccjs then.please dont take some of my comments as flippant cos thats not what i mean, its just the only way i can deal with this at the moment.
sorry about the long post and thanks for reading.will keep you informed if we keep the pc!! regards, juliePeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Sorry you are feeling so bad Julie. The idea of a DMP though (I think, and will be happy to be corrected or otherwise on this) is that part of the negotiation is that interest will STOP accruing on your debts. Feel positive that you have taken the first steps to sorting this out, posting on here, and contacting CCCS. You will find lots of help on here (post an SOA when you feel ready, you will get lots of suggestions, and check out the OS board to cut down on household expenses), and you may find that when CCCS have finalised their arrangements, things will not look nearly as bleak as they do now. When you come to tell your oh, you will already have started to sort the problem, by seeking advice and arranging a DMP (this will make telling him easier). You are now taking control of your situation, which is a positive and empowering thing. I wish you all the best.0
