can someone help please

My friends Husband is about to lose his job, he will have to claim JSA, she gets DLA high rate both componants, but uses the mobility part for a car, so gets £294 every 4 weeks, she also get long term IB at £94 per week.

The JSA rates for a married couple is £100 plus a few odd pence a week, does anyone know what they would take off this amount because she gets the above benefits, Ive tried to work it out and if Im right the amount he would get would be around £6 per week, is that right?

If he's paid the appropriate NICs he'll be eligible for contributions based JSA for 6 months.

As far as I'm aware she will still get her IB and DLA, he will get JSA in his own right.

There due just under £200 weekly less her Incapacity!

He should claim Carers Allowance and Income Support ASAP once he stops working.
