                    Hi All,
Would really appreciate some advice on this one.
Last Christmas I bought my dad an experience voucher for a skid pan at a cost of £99. He has just realised it went out of date on 25th October!! I thought it ran for 12 months but apparently only 10. He has tried calling them but they say hard luck.
Just wondered if I had any rights? Absolutely gutted to see £99 go down the drain!
Thanks for reading and any advice.

            What rights would you like?
 If the voucher had the expiration date clearly on it not sure what you expect really.Thinking critically since 1996....0

 you have no rights if it is clearly marked on the voucher the expiry date
 you were not mis sold this, the vendor did not make you ignore the expiry date.0

            Sorry but I doubt you'll get anything back on this one.
 I get this all the time at work but if the expiry date is printed on the voucher then there is nothing you can do.
 I did get one lady complaining that she should get another voucher because "what would happen if I went to Tesco, bought some food and then it went out of date?"...not quite sure where she was going with that one but the principle would be same: The use by date is printed on the product, if you don't use it by that date then the supermarket isn't going to offer you a refund or replacement are they?
 You're probably going to have to accept the loss here unless the website/store you bought it from had it clearly written somewhere that the voucher would last for 12 months and you have proof of that.
 Sorry Paying off the overdraft: Paying off the overdraft:
 End of April= -£500
 Today= -£4550

            See if they will offer the same item at a significantly reduced price as a gesture of goodwill?0

            If it expired and you noticed within 7 days of the expired date they may have done something but nearly a month is pushing it.
 i had a similar probl;em when i was given a falconery day voucher. when i looked at the voucher i found it expired 3 days earlier, i called them and explained and they said if i was willing to use this within 7 days of me calling them then they will honour this but any longer and they would not. so i booked and they has a slot free the following day.0
