I was warned about going onto the Three network because of their customer service and reception. I've actually found them better than Vodafone. I would definitely recommend them,

If messages posted to these forums are to be believed virtually every company offers better customer service than Vodafone. :)

I was always quite pleased with Vodafone and Virgin. O2 have caused me some pretty major problems and only sorted out my accounts after phoning them every hour on the hour for several days and giving them a running total of the number of calls I'd made and how much money they were wasting paying people to take my calls instead of just fixing the problems. Eventually it was sorted out, and despite being incompetent and failing to return my calls, the staff were at least polite.

T-Mobile are the only network I would never touch again. Their staff repeatedly tried to evade their legal responsibilities and were outstandingly rude on a number of occasions. When they breached the contract I decided I'd had enough wanted the agreement terminated. They argued with me (and I mean argued, not discussed) and only after repeated threats of legal action was I put through to the disconnections department.

I was asked whether I was happy with their service and explained that I wasn't as they had breached the contract, fraudulently (in my opinion) tried to mislead me as to my legal rights, and had then repeatedly insulted me and (initially) refused to take my request to cancel seriously so I probably wouldn't be using them again. In response, I was insulted again for being so "petty" and carrying a "grudge" just because of the way I'd been treated when "it's obviously not going to happen again". That pretty much sealed it for me.

I'm happy to take every free SIM that T-Mobile have on offer but I'm b***ered if I'm going to generate a penny of revenue for them ever again!

Three suck. Coverage is terrible and customer service is useless.

I have a 3 sim in my iPad, I find the service to be fantastic and it gets signal where O2 and T-Mobile have failed.

Yes, but for everyone who gets better signal, there's someone who gets worse signal.

And what do we learn from this? Nowt.

3 wrongly disconnected my phone, then told me rather rudely my only option was PAYG as no other network would touch me.

I was happy to ring them a few days later with details of my (vastly superior) Orange contract complete with better phone.

However they wrote off a £750 charge as I kicked up such a stink.. wouldnt ever go near them again though.

  • They were good with reception etc but when I tried to cancel my contract they were a huge pain, pretending they haven't received my cancellation calls/letters. I ended up cancelling the direct debit in the end, decided it wasn't worth the hassle of reporting them so now I'm paying them back £75... at the rate of £1 a month :D and they send me a statement every month saying how much I've paid!
