Barclays Bank PPI on Overdraft any success?

Has anyone reclaimed the charges for Payment Protection on an overdraft?

I have been paying £8 a month I don't know how long for.

I saw this on my statements and assumed it was a compulsory payment for having the overdraft. I have now learnt it is optional so have put in my request to have the money plus the interest credited back to me.

I am in my overdraft, maximum every month and am wondering if this will cause me a problem because they will say I am unable to repay it? The way I see it is if they repay me the money then it will help me to get out of my overdraft.

Has anyone else got a similar situation with success or no success?

Thanks

Both myself and my husband have had some money back on our overdraft ppi, although I am not sure how it was calculated. I have by far the biggest overdraft, and have ALWAYS used it, and got £198. My husband has a lesser overdraft, yet got £325. We have banked with Barclays for centuries.
  • My sister, mother-in-law, dad and myself got money back so definately complain as OD PPI is something they just added to additions accounts.
