I just realized my contract ends on the 24th Feb should it have been cancelled now and got the pac code?
Don't you get better offers if you cancel and get the pac code as its then dealt with by the retentions dept? This is a talk and text 700 I'd want similar to that one.
The offer above sounds really good but the phone has struggled to get through 1 year never mind another whole year its a NOKIA 6280. The battery barely lasts a day so if that gets any worse I'm in trouble. What would happen if the phone or battery conked out?
Does anyone know what the retentions dept are offering for contract with phones aswell?Thanx

they offered 10 months free on t&t 600, no phone, as there best offer.
i said cancel my contract anyway.....i am kind of hoping they wll call me to offer me something better!
What are the chances of that happening?
lol i did exactly the same. they offered me the same deal however i said cancel my contract and few days before my contract expired i had a call from a "3" advisor n after making a sob story that "times are hard" etc, he offered me a few deals which were no good so i cut him off, after few missed calls later i answered n the advisor offered me SONY ERICCSON k610! and 100mins and100txts free for 12 MONTHS on a 12 months contract. not many mins or texts but who cares when its a free phone and free line rental!!!! he even gave me an extra £7.33 credit aswell!
it was too good to be true so i rang up twice to confirm the deal and it was exactly what the advisor told me
three are paying ME to use there service! feel like a KING :money:
fantastic. keep trying guys n gals......Dont forget to Press the *THANKS* button

I have rang them and asked to cancel contract. This 12 month one ends on 24th Jan so I'm late cancelling. He said the earliest they can cancel now is 2nd March rather than the 24th Feb like it would have been if I had phoned up when I should have done as they need 30 days notice.
I just wanted to know if I have done it the right way to get offered the best deals. I asked to cancel it and for a pac code he then gave me the pac code and put me through to an automatic info thing to tell me how the pac code works and listening to that it seems I havent really cancelled the contract only if I use the pac code. It said if I wanted to cancel and not use pac code I should ring back and start another 30 day notice.
I thought it would go through automatically to cancel on 2nd march anyway but will I still get the best retention offers while this account is like this or am I better off just ringing to say put me in to cancel without pac code then changing my mind before the 2nd march and ringing to get a better deal?Thanx

Sarahsaver wrote:I got a really good retention offer from them, a free n73, they paid one months bill fully, then I have 9 months half price, I get silly number of minutes (lots) 200 txts, plus unlimited internet access, and so on and so on. Not a bad offer I thought.
Just hang up and phone and I canceled my contract which expire next month.
Could you tell how many munites did you acturally get for this N73 offer? Thanks in advance.0 -
Evening,
just called to cancel my contract and was offered video talk and text 1100 (22.50 per month)or direct talker 1000 (17.50 per month) 1/2 price for 12 months on a 12 month contract, with a sony Ericsson K610i, as I'm quite happy with my handset they also offered with no handset video talk & text 1100(600 min 400text) for 8 months free on a 12 month contract which works out £15.00 per month with no cashbacks money credit in advance to bill or video talk & text 700(400min 250text) for 8 1/2 months free which works out at £10.00 per month over the year. They did offer higher spec phnoes like nokia n73 but could only offer 4months free so have got my pac code and will wait and see and if nothing comes of it think the £15.00 per month for
600mins
400text
25mms
25 video calling
£5.00 downlaods per month
is quite a good deala please & thank you is all it takes :wave:0 -

I called 3 tonight to cancel my 12 month contract, which expires soon. No offers were made to keep me, so have I missed out or will they phone sometime? Also as I didnt ask for a PAC code, have i missed the chance to do this?0

Just given in on my new deal: Tried to get the 12 months free 100/100 plus K610i but was told they'd stopped it? Settled for 10 months free for 500 mins and 100 texts. Last two months for £60. I keep my phone for satnav.
I think they said you can ask for a new contract after month 10 - so in theory you could avoid the last two month rentals by signing up for a new deal.
No more cashback hassles at least and a nice fat credit for 10 months.0 -
the problem of 3 is they lock the phone with the sim. it is annoying, as nobody wear the same clothes and shoes everyday for 12 months, why they expect me to use the same phone for 12 months, i would like to change it from time to time to match my fashion mood.
do u think i can ask them for an unlock phone on contract?0 -

For God's sake get a life. A phone is a phone, not something to change with your mood. Those advertising men have really hooked you. You need to start living in the real world... what a sad life you must have.0
