Hi, just got my equifax credit report and there is reference to an old credit card (no balance) taken out in 2003 from barclays
My problem is I have no paperwork at all for this card or the card itself and the report only gives the last 4 digits of the account - how do I cancel it????

Does it show the account is settled? If so then it is already closed, these records do not disappear for 6-7 years after they are settled.
If not just call Barclaycard and request it be cancelled, they will be able to identify your account if you provide address details (at time you had the card) and possibly date of birth etc.0 -
Call BC up and they will search for you using your name and addressIf you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0

It has no balance but its not marked as settled - I'll give them a ring and see if they can find it with only the last 4 digits0 -
Well at least you've had it building a nice credit history for you these past few years... I'd be inclined to leave it open, so long as the limit isn't stupidly big, as this will be an asset to your credit history - an old account showing stability and flawless repayment history - spot on.
Just update your address with them if it's wrong and leave it at that:beer:
