Hi all
This has drifted over time so that it is now about twenty minutes out. Is there a way of resetting it to correct time without going through whoever installed it? I presume this is not a smart meter and will need replacing in the future. It is dual rate meter i.e. Economy Seven.
Thanks for any help. :j

I very much doubt it - if the end user could set the time on these I would imagine that a fair amount of them would be reset to regard 17:00 - 23:00 as off-peak!0

That was what I was thinking - can't understand how it has drifted so much though. It has a button to check on the readings and a second one blanked off it seems.
Thanks

20 minutes isn't a big deal, its not like you've lost 20 minutes of E7 time, the E7 period will just start and finish 20 minutes later / earlier than normal, you'll still get the full 7 hours of cheap rate.
Any manual programming, beyond visually reading the meter, tariff's etc are locked out and changes can only be done by a legit meter reader / programmer, as the other person said, leaving it unlocked would leave it open to abuse
if its losing time rapidly, then no doubt the energy company will fall ar*e over t*t to get out to you and reset it ASAP, if there is any danger of the economy period falling earlier into the Evening!"Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0 -
Thanks all, I'll contact the elec supplier. I don't think they actually installed that particular meter so they might want me to upgrade - costing of course.
Cheers, Steve0
