  • Can I ask also, when you are giving your new totals - do you take into account interest. See my sig - I have paid loads but the amount shown on my online balance reflects the daily interest. I hate it!

DebtFree, I always add the interest onto my outstanding balance. I like to see the correct amount that I owe! I hate interest.....LOL

I try to work out how much interest I'll owe and include that in my outstanding balance. I'm with Emily, I like to know exactly how much I owe, and, if you are paying a bit extra it's a nice surprise when the statement comes in and the interest isn't as much as you thought it would be :)

    Good Morning :)

Well, another lovely £4.70 PADed over this morning. That's nearly a tenner in two days :) Don't think there should be any more until the end of the week now as the bank account SHOULD stay nice and tidy.

  • Thanks for the answers. I haven't figured out how they apply their daily interest yet - it just doesn't work out as the calculators say it should. I haven't been keeping a track on previous months of the daily changes however I am now so in a month I should be in a better position. I will continue posting what I pay however will wait until the month end to provide an updated total. Coincidentally that is Friday for me :)

So for today I have paid £26.75 to the loan which will reflect tomorrow and all be nice and tidy before pay day on Friday. I may make an ovberpayment of £9 on thursday but leaving it there atm just in case I need it.

Loving this paying one debt - I can see it going down and although the tunnel is very dark, there may just be a pin head of light appearing :D

    Hi All
I have had a hectic week with the kids off school:mad: LOL
I have updated balances and added newbies as well. I have just bought some clear pencil cases from the well know auction site. I have decided that I am going to stick to our budget to the penny next month and am going to have a pencil case for separate expenses such as food, petrol, school dinners. I am hoping this will help me to have more power over our spending habits instead of just using the debit card all the time and not really knowing how much money we are spending and what we are spending it on!! Fingers Crossed;)

Emily, I am terrible at not sticking to budget ... not fun the second half of the month when I am trying to manage :( I used to use envelopes ... might have to go back to that and give it a try!!

  • Still doing well here, am past 1/4 of the way through now, no way am i giving up though, i really have the bug.

On a DMP so all the extra money is going on things that have needed doing for a while in the house. As soon as this is complete its all going to be extra off the debt.

Thank you to every one who has asked for the superpoints referral, i have made £21 alone on that so far this month, just cashed in £40 from onepoll as well. Getting there with vivatic but having no luck with jackpot joy at all this year. Not started to ebay yet so i do have something to fall back on if things get tough as i get nearer the target.

Think this is the longest i have stuck to a challenge!

Keep going everyone, we are doing well. x

    Good Morning :)

As I suspected the bank account stayed nice and tidy when I checked this morning so no PAD for me today :( Never mind, there is always tomorrow :)
