• I went to the biggest one in Manchester Town Centre (opp the Arndale) and they had loads downstairs tucked away in the Christmas section. I managed to get the Galaxy ones which were marked up at £4 and not part of the offer, even though the were in with all the ones on the offer.

Worth a shot if anyone's doing any Christmas shopping in Manchester.

Oh I went through Self Service btw, I saw a SA walking downstairs with a galaxy box looking very determined and a big queue at one of the tills as I was leaving, so I assume Self Service is your best bet.

In other news I managed to also pick up a reduced Haribo Halloween Tub for the OH as his sweetys Christmas treat. Very Happy :T

Just been to S@rp@ntine Gr@@n where there is not one single selection box to be found in the store - signs all gone, spoke to the manager (another lady was asking) and he said by tea time yesterday they had sold out and have no information as to when they will be getting anymore (or when they will find their way to the shop floor more like!) - the lady that was also asking said there was a TV advert last night stating the offer started today so she had gone there early especially to get some.

• Hi

In Tesco, when an item is on offer and they run out of stock, the store has to give you an "Offer Promise" which means that you can buy the product when it comes back in stock at the price on the day that you requested it - even if the promotion has ended. You have to say the number of the item that you want and they will give you a tillspit that can be used in store later. These are brilliant because you can be sure of getting your item at the cheap price and also by the time they are back up in price in store at Tesco, they will probably be cheaper at Asda so you can price check the difference (with an offer promise, when you eventually buy the item it goes through the till at the higher price and the offer comes off as a coupon discount later). Offer Promise vouchers can be obtained from CS.

It is always worth getting hold of and hanging on to Offer Promise vouchers if you use Pricecheck/JTD - sometimes it is a good thing if the item is oos! (Also, if you request an offer promise voucher, sometimes stock miraculously materialises from the stockroom like magic.....)
• It worked on my online shopping :D

I got 4x mars and 2x Cadbury stocking last night for presents and then stopped at local express this morning for 6x Cadbury stocking as at 14p per bar I have just put them into my draw at work so I can snack well into the new year :)

not sure this will help my waistline!!!
• I hate how tesco customer service can make you feel so horrible sometimes. Went in ours last night and saw sign in front at the entrance that said all selection boxes B1Get2Free. All they had by the sign was the cadbury small ones and some small milky bar ones (that were even pictured on the poster), so I picked up 3 of each. They were all £1 each. There were no large ones or any sign of them ever even being there, although by that time they would have been long gone. When they did not go through on offer, tried to get it fixed at till but said he couldn't over ride it so had to go to customer service. The manager was so rude about it and refused at first saying the offer was a mistake. I can see now that it probably was, but the sign clearly stated ALL Selection boxes. I did not let it go so she finally said she would honour ones in the picture but not the other 3. Because she made such a song and dance of it all, I more or less demanded dtd back too. I was a bit narky at that point myself. Instead of just selling the 6 to me for £2 without any fuss and just taking the sign out of the shop, I got paid £1 to take the 3 (got the other 3 refunded). A little customer service can go a long way sometimes especially since there was a queue forming. Felt sorry for them and the lovely girl on the till having to deal with the pair of us!

This is incorrect - you only get the price promise vouchers for b1g1f or others like this.
For example if an item is on b?g?f and they only have one or 2 on the shelf and you are not getting all the freebies then you can request the price promise voucher. If there are none on shelf then they will not give you a price promise voucher. This changed about 1 year ago.
Just thought i'd let you all know this is Tesco's policy now!
