Swede cake anyone?

DD was eating her tea last night and tucking into the swede.
"Mum?"
"Yes?"
"Can you make cake with swede? Cause it actually doesn't taste too awful!"
"Don't know, I suppose so. I shouldn't see why not."
"Can you try it then, Mum?"
"Oh ok then." Sigh.
So. Have you tried it? Or am I just stark staring bonkers and going to end up with something even our non existent dog won't eat? :rotfl:
BTW: My friend google does have some recipes. I'm just off to check them out now.

Swede's a lot like parsnip isn't it? In which case it does make a nice (not overly sweet) cake when mashed with bananas, dates and flour. Butter would probably make it nicer but I was playing around making a healthy cake.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Squeaky, I was kind of thinking it could just be used instead of carrot, beetroot or parsnip in a cake too.
I actually made beetroot and courgette cake last week but didn't add cocoa powder this time. It was yummy and has flecks of red and green in it.
DD was saying at breakfast time that she got her friend to try some of it and her friend said
"Is this another one of your Mum's weird but yummy combination vegetable cakes?"
before she ate it! She liked it though, so it's all good
