Sending Photo Attachments

I emailed some photos as attachments to my sister, who complained that they were HUGE.
They're Jpegs, and around the 2.6 MB mark. And they open fine for me in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
Any idea why they're causing her bother?

because Windows Picture and Fax Viewer resizes them to fit on the screen. If you right click and 'open with', and choose paint you'll see the real size of them.
In paint you can resize them (around 30% normally gives a decent size within paint)0
