Ooooh thanks blue!! I live just down the road from there and my sons friend worked there (her Dad was head keeper!), but at £9.50 admission I could never justify it.
OH is excited now because he loves Penguins.

I've been there once with the GF and quite liked it.
At that cost i may go a few times over the next couple of months.0 -
Anyone know if there are any discount vouchers or offers for blackbrook zoo for this summer 2013 - better than the one I listed below?
I have found this 20% off voucher online, not sure if there is any validity on it.

Blackbrook is currently £5 per person entry, they have had a few issues with card machines not working (so take cash only!) and they are having to use portaloos but it doesn't affect a brilliant day out.
Have a look at their Facebook Page for up to date details:

Open at 10 every day - card machines still not working and not back on until the new lines are in on11th June earliest! So bring your cash along0 -

Also, if you are quick, they are offering the last few places on their Zookeeper experience for a bargain £40 instead of £100! For this your child (ages 6 - 15) turns up at 10.30am (you get one adult free entry and you need to remain on site for health and safety reasons), the child then gets to spend the day as a keeper. They go out in groups of 6 I believe and only one group per day.
I booked DD on one of the last few days available in August yesterday and she's very excited!
You can contact them through Facebook if you were interested.0
