BarclayCard credit card: transfer question

hi, on the website for the Barclaycard platinum i can see: "You transfer a minimum balance of £250 to your Barclaycard Platinum card when you apply online within your application process, or transfer a minimum of £100 to your Barclaycard Platinum card when you call to activate your card. "
Does that mean that I would not have to transfer the entire balance from another CC? Also, if i must transfer the entire balance of my existing card will this account close (or i can specify to keep it open)?

it doesnt mean you have to trans the total balance,and if you did the account would remain open until you closed it0

You can transfer just part of the balance if you like. The old card which you are transferring balance from will just see the transfer as a payment, it won't cause your card to close or anything.0

Unbelievable that they are doing website maintenance at this time:
After laboriously completing the webform I received the response below.
The website writers should be sacked.
Why on earth did they not replace their initial webpage stating that the website was being maintained?
