Barclaycard application problem

I'm trying to apply for the Barclaycard Platinum included in the MSE email, using the link provided here on the MSE website. I've entered details, ticked the box and clicked to apply. It came up "please wait 60 seconds" then it asked me for a security word and my email address. Then I clicked continue and it came up "sorry we have experienced a problem".
So now how do I know if my application has gone through? I was hoping for an answer tonight or at least a "we will contact you in the next few days" and instead I'm left in the lurch.
Has anyone else had this error? Is it worth calling the 24h customer service and asking if they can see the application?

I just called the "24 hour Customer Service" number given and it's closed...
Not impressed with Barclaycard at all.0 -
I got the same message earlier so will try again tomorrow!!0
