i would ask her to be honest, nightmare present for me is lynx gift set as i intensly dislike the stuff and every year i am at risk of getting it unless you ask my fiance and she tells everyone i cant stand it

I dont think you can underestimate how great it is to be baked a cake. It was my brothers 24th birthday a couple of months ago and I hadnt the chance to go out to look for a present. I baked him a chocolate cake (I'm really not great at cooking!!!) and he loved it!!!

Thanks MooBaah, I have been stuck what to get a 16 year old male and 27 year old male and had a look at thinkgeek and they have some great ideas, even better many of the items can be bought in the uk on amazon/firebox etc so no need to import. What about a WH Smith voucher, my ds is 18 and a friend of mine always gets him a voucher for xmas and with being at Uni there is always something he needs from there.

Hi my bf is 22 and he mainly gets give money or vouchers for Xmas as he is quite fussy although I do know him and all his friends like to recive a bottle of something alcohol, money vouchers, gadgets, game for playstation xbox ect, hats,

I'm sure anything you get him he will like just try to stay away from smells as boys are so hard to buy for they normally end up with loads in my experience!!

My brother is 19 and after reading the forums I've decided to do him " A Scottish Night In! hamper as he is short of cash at the moment and always moaning he hates being in of a weekend. My budget is more than £10 but here is what I'm including which can be changed to fit your budget:

* Bottle of Bells Whiskey- £10 from Sainsbury's ( I actually used my nectar points to buy this and other gifts)
* 3x share bags of "Mackie's" crisps- 99p each in Lidl
* 4x bottles of Irn Bru- £1 from poundland
* Scottish Joke book- 99p from Lidl
* 3 pack of scottish tablet- £1 from pondland
* 3 pack of Scottosh Macaroon- 79p from Asda
* share bag of Mackies highland toffee- 99p from Lidl
* Small chanter ( bag pipes without the bag) and a basic guide book- £5 from The Works
* Tartan travel rug (for his car or for the sofa) using to cover a cardboard box as the "hamper"- £4.99 Amazon
* 4 cans of Tenants Lager
* pack of shortbread- 99p Sainsburys
* The "oor Wullie" or "The Broons" book- not got yet but usualy about £6.99
